Tegas will be working together with its strategic partners, WatchTower and Friends (WTF), a tech accelerator, and MYStartup, a national initiative by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) and implemented by Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd.

In addition, MYStartup by Cradle will continue the startup supports and benefits as this will be the second edition of collaboration with Tegas.

Sarawak Deputy Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment and Tegas chairman Datuk Len Talif Salleh said the programme is designed to accelerate the growth of local early-stage startups and social enterprises, supporting Tegas’ mission to drive digital innovation and entrepreneurship in Sarawak in alignment with the Post Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.

“Entering its sixth year, we believe the Pre-Accelerator programme offers a valuable opportunity for young entrepreneurs in Sarawak to validate and refine their innovative ideas before bringing them to market,” he reportedly said.

The programme will cover a comprehensive range of topics, including launching a startup, business and financial modeling, product development, market entry strategies, fundraising, and pitching.

Participants will receive in-depth training and guidance on these crucial areas, providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully navigate the early stages of their entrepreneurial journey.

Participants selected for the programme will benefit from mentorship by industry experts and seasoned entrepreneurs, early-stage investment opportunities, priority access to Tegas accelerator programs and Shell LiveWIRE Malaysia.

Among mentors are WatchTower and Friends co-founders Sam Shafie and Kashminder Singh, accelerator lead Hardesh Singh, Payment Networks Malaysia’s Chief Information Security Officer Meling Mudin, and Yeoh Chen Chow of Angel Investor.

In addition, the participants will also gain access to TEGAS’s ecosystem partners and programs. The top winners will receive company incorporation support, an essential package on Sarawak Cloud, and three months of free co-working access to Tegas Digital Village (TDV) and TEGAS Digital Innovation Hub (TDIH) locations in Bintulu and Miri.

TPAB is open to all early-stage startups and social enterprises/businesses with at least one Sarawakian co-founder.
