KUCHING, Nov 8: The Immigration Department’s office at UTC Sarawak here will be closed until further notice as one of its staff was tested positive for Covid-19.
The management of UTC Sarawak, in a statement today, said one staff of the Immigration Department working at UTC Sarawak has been confirmed Covid-19 positive on November 6.
It added the affected staff had not been to UTC since October 30.
Thus, the management of UTC Sarawak said the immigration staff working at the centre will undergo Covid-19 swab test and be quarantined.
It advises the public to visit the Immigration office at Bangunan Sultan Iskandar if they need any service from the department.
Nonetheless, the management of UTC Sarawak said other government agencies at the centre shall remain open.
It revealed that a sanitisation exercise has been carried out this morning (November 8) for the entire premises. —DayakDaily
