KUCHING, Dec 19: The Malaysia Immigration Department will extend the operating hours of its passport issuance nationwide by three hours until 8pm during the school holidays from this Saturday (Dec 21) to Dec 28.
In a news report by TVS, the department announced that the extended hours in all states, except Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu, will be from 8am to 8pm, from Dec 23 to 26.
According to a post on the department’s official Facebook page, the operating hours on Dec 21 and 28, will be from 8am to 3pm, while Dec 27 (Friday), the department will be operating from 8am to 8pm with a break between 12.15pm to 2.45pm.
For Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu, the operating hours will be from 8am to 8pm on Dec 22 to 24.
The hours will be from 8am to 3pm on Dec 21 and 28, and from 8am to 6.30pm on Dec 26.
The department hopes that the extended operating hours will help make customers’ process smoother. —DayakDaily
