KUCHING, Nov 9: Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang has denied he uttered the word “bullshit” during his debate on Wednesday, claiming that “the microphone recorded him wrongly”.

Tanjung Batu assemblyman Chiew Chiu Sing raised this issue during the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting this morning, describing the word as “very unparliamentary”.

“I did not say it. I said `rubbish’,” said Lo when Speaker Datuk Amar Mohd Asfia Awang Nassar asked him to verify Chiew’s accusation.

Asfia then asked Lo to retract the word, but Lo kept insisting he was wrongly recorded.

“I’m a gentleman. I didn’t say bullshit,” Lo insisted.

But Asfia insisted that Lo retract it since there was recorded evidence. Lo, eventually, gave in, retracted the word and replaced it with “rubbish”, for the Hansard record. — DayakDaily
