KUCHING, Aug 31: Prospective homebuyers from near and far came to Samariang Aman township today to view Hock Seng Lee’s (HSL) Samariang Aman 3 (SA3) showhouses, one of which has a ‘Smart Home’ system.
HSL hosted its first showhouse event today since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, and it received much positive feedback from the more than 1,000 visitors, including the elderly and families.
The “Rumah Pintar”, which features the ‘Smart Home’ system, enables residents to remotely control home lighting and drapes, monitor home surroundings via CCTV, and activate stairway lighting via motion sensors.
A smart home allows residents to control certain home features through a phone app, which means no more arguing with a partner about who should turn off the light before going to bed.
Another intriguing feature of the “Rumah Pintar” is the ‘Aqara Smart Door Lock A100 Zigbee’, which is a smart lock that can be unlocked via fingerprint, password, temporary password, NFC card, app control, Apple Home Key, and even a mechanical key in case of emergency.
HSL set up this showhouse to demonstrate to prospective homebuyers what a smart home could be like, as the system is increasingly being used in homes and consumers are taking advantage of its many features and capabilities to safeguard their homes, property, and loved ones.
The smart home system is an add-on that interested homebuyers may consider.
In addition to the “Rumah Pintar”, prospective homebuyers could also view the “Rumah Mewah”, a single-storey corner unit, and the “Rumah Ramah”, a single-storey intermediate unit.
The “Rumah Mewah” has high ceilings throughout, a foyer between the bedrooms, and nighttime-appealing colour choices.
The “Rumah Ramah” features a beautiful space with space-savint convertible furniture and modern colours that bring positive vibes and energy into the space, which may appeal to younger homebuyers.
SA3 homes are considered affordable, catering to government employees and B40 wage earners.
Moreover, some lucky residents will be neighbours with social media influencer NgekTsai, who is already a resident of Samariang Aman 3 township and is getting his second unit in SA3.
The comedian-influencer gave prospective homebuyers an entertaining tour of the SA3 showhouses today.
On Sept 3 and 4, the showhouses will be available for viewing by the general public.
