BALEH, Oct 3: Heavy rainfall over the past few days has inundated four schools and two health clinics in Baleh area.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, the affected schools are SK Temenggong Koh, SK Ng Kain, SK Ng Sempili and SMK Baleh.
The matter was relayed by teachers from the schools through WhatsApp to the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Kapit Division Disaster Management Committee (Kapit DDMC) today.
Apart from that, health officers in Ng Melinau, Mujong and Ng Antawau health clinics have also reported that their clinics were flooded.
As of now, the weather condition in Baleh has improved, but rain persists in upstream areas, especially along Sungai Baleh. – DayakDaily.
