KUCHING, March 9: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain, and strong wind warning for several areas in Sarawak, effective until 5pm today.

The affected areas include Kuching (Kuching), Sri Aman, Mukah (Daro and Matu), Kapit (Song and Belaga), and Limbang.

The warning was issued at 2.20pm after signs indicated thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm per hour, expected to persist for more than an hour.
