KUCHING, Aug 3: Kuching, Samarahan and Serian are expected to experience thunderstorms which will be accompanied by heavy rain and strong winds until 9pm tonight.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department released an advisory stating this at 5.15pm.
The advisory revealed that a warning will be issued if the expected downpour comes with rainfall intensity surpassing 20mm per hour or when the downpour lasts for more than one hour.
This thunderstorm warning is a short-term alert, valid for a duration of no more than six hours. — DayakDaily
