KUCHING, Sept 26: Ministry of Health (MOH) disclosed that Covid-19 positive cases in the country remain in the double-digits with a total of 82 new cases reported as of today.
The ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, in a statement, said from a total of 82 newly reported cases, 79 cases were local transmission while three others are imported cases.
“Most of the new cases were registered in Sabah with a total of 64 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (6), Negeri Sembilan (3), and two cases each in Selangor and Terengganu, while other states namely Melaka, Pahang, Johor, Sarawak, including Labuan, reported one case each.
“This brings the total cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the country to 10,769 cases,” he said.
Meanwhile, Noor Hisham also revealed that a total of 89 Covid-19 positive cases has recovered and discharged from the hospital today, bringing the total cumulative number of recovered and discharged cases in the country to 9,785 cases (90.86 per cent).
“Currently, eight individuals are being treated for Covid-19 positive in the intensive care unit (ICU) with four of them on respiratory assistance, and zero deaths involving Covid-19 were recorded today as the death toll remains at 133 cases (1.24 per cent),” he added. – DayakDaily.
