KUCHING, Nov 4: Housing Development Corporation (HDC) Sarawak will investigate a recent incident where the ceiling involving a house in Darul Hana Development Project collapsed yesterday (Nov 3).
According to HDC chief executive officer Mohd Asman Ahmad, as the implementing agency to build houses in Darul Hana Development Project Kuching, HDC apologised for the incident and is taking it seriously.
“No injuries were reported during the incident and repair work is underway.
“It is also understood that before the incident, the weather condition was reported to be raining with strong winds in the area,” he said in a statement today.
Mohd Asman assured that continuous monitoring will be done to ensure the safety of the residents.
He also calls for the cooperation from residents in the Darul Hana Development Project as well as the general public to not speculate on the incident.
“This is to avoid causing fear and panic to residents in Darul Hana,” he added. — DayakDaily
