PADAWAN, Dec 7: Authorities are searching for Aron anak Rajak, a 57-year-old woman who went missing in Kampung Singaie/Simpok in Jalan Padawan after leaving home for her garden around 12.30pm yesterday.
Aron, who has a history of mental health issues, was last seen wearing a white singlet and sarong.
According to a report by the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), personnel from Siburan Fire Station (BBP), supported by the police, the Kampung Simpok Volunteer Firefighting Unit (PBS) and local residents, conducted a thorough search within a 2-kilometre radius of her garden.
However, no sign of Aron has been found. The operation, temporarily suspended at 10.30pm, is set to resume today.
Meanwhile, Padawan District Police Chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi said a police report was first lodged at Tapah Police Station at 9.56pm yesterday (Dec 6).
