KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 21: Harapan Orang Asli Sarawak (HOAS) today announced it would be officially launched at Melia Seasons Restaurant in Kajang, Selangor, this Nov 3.
HOAS is a non-government organisation registered with the Registrar of Societies (ROS) on Aug 20 this year: Their main task is to strengthen and champion the interest of the natives of Sarawak in general as well as to become an outstanding platform for the natives living in the state and in the peninsula.
HOAS hoped to establish close ties with Sarawak natives living in the peninsula, organise activities for the social, economic, educational and cultural wellbeing of members and the community, safeguard the welfare and interests of natives staying in the peninsular, and to network with organisations in Peninsular Malaysia.
In conjunction with its forthcoming launching ceremony, HOAS will be organising a golf tournament at the Bangi Golf Resort on Nov 3. Entrance fee is RM280 per golfer, inclusive of prizes, lucky draws, and dinner for 2 pax.
On the same day, a pre-Christmas dinner will be held at Melia Seasons Restaurant in Kajang. Golf prizes will be presented and lucky draws will be held during the dinner, complete with local performances and music.
Meanwhile, HOAS called on Sarawakian natives to join the association to help give Sarawak a better tomorrow.
