KUCHING, March 31: The Public Works Department (JKR) has issued a notice for all motorists to take note of the concrete barrier installation work and half-road closure at Jalan Batu Kawah.
According to a statement issued by JKR, the half-road closure from Batu Kawah Bridge to Kuching will take effect from April 1 to 15, from 9am to 11am and 2pm to 4pm.
“Road diversions or closures needed to be carried out at the site to give way for heavy machinery to conduct works.
“However, the road will be open as soon as possible if works can be completed early to facilitate traffic movement.
“Should there be any changes in date, time and area involved, JKR Kuching division will inform the public,” the statement said.
Road users are advised to plan their journey ahead and to follow the safety signs provided before and around the affected area.
