MIRI, March 19: Police arrested a man at his house in Vista Perdana here at about 10am today on suspicion of drug possession and drug abuse.
Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah said the suspect, who was picked up by a team from Miri Narcotics Criminal Department, had previous records for drug-related offences.
The raiding team found illegal substances, believed to be methamphetamine, weighing 8.85g and with a street value of RM1,450.
“The drugs were found inside a make-up drawer, concealed in 10 plastic packets,” said Lim.
The suspect also tested positive for drugs.
The case is being investigated under Section 39A(1) and Section 15 (1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. — DayakDaily
