KUCHING, May 17: Gym centres, including studios and premises for yoga and Zumba activities, are among businesses and activities not allowed to run in Miri, Marudi, Subis, Beluru and Telang Usan following the extension of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) period throughout the state today.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a press statement today said shopping malls, supermarkets and departmental stores in these five zones are still allowed to continue operations with only 50 per cent of the premises capacity limit.

It said the premises also must adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the Miri District Disaster Management Committee (DDMC).

Apart from that, the statement noted, farmers markets and night markets (uptown and downtown) in Covid-19 red zones are still not allowed to operate, except for night markets in the Saberkas area from Wednesday until Saturday.

Other activities which are not allowed in these five districts are group recreation activities in the City Fan area, and other public parks and beaches in Miri and Subis. — DayakDaily
