KUCHING, Nov 3: The Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) has yet to decide on the date to hold the 12th Sarawak election (PRN12).

GPS secretary-general Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi in a statement today said there was no meeting of the GPS supreme leadership council to discuss the election.

“The GPS Government is very concerned about the current spike of Covid-19 infections and is seriously taking into consideration the danger of Covid-19 on the safety and lives of the people in Sarawak.

“In this regard, I would like to clarify that GPS has yet to decide on any date to hold the Sarawak state election,” he said.

Nanta was responding to a Facebook posting under the account KabanSarawak which purportedly made the assumption on the timing of the PRN12 based on a recent statement by Santubong MP Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar. —DayakDaily
