GPS’ Sri Aman candidate briefed by police on early voting process in constituency

SRI AMAN, Nov 15: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate for P202 Sri Aman, Dato Sri Doris Sophia Brodi has gone to the ground in person to observe the early voting process at Sri Aman Police station.

Earlier, she met the acting Police Chief of Sri Aman, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mass Nur Haslinda, and was briefed on the proceedings.

Haslinda revealed that 209 police officers exercised their rights to vote early today at the police station in the parliamentary constituency.

Doris expressed hope that the early voting process would go smoothly.

“We have three days to go (to polling day) and we are not going to be complacent,” she saidĀ when met by reporters at Sri Aman Police station, where the early voting proceedings were carried out by the police officers here, today.

“The voting is open to 5pm but with the small number of officers, the casting of votes will proceed faster,” she explained.

“So far, there have been no untoward events during the campaign since it began last week. All is under control and it is very peaceful,” she said. ā€” DayakDaily
