MIRI, Oct 17: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu Sarawak (PBB) deputy president Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said on Friday that the ruling coalition – Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) must win this coming 12th State Election to ensure a stable future for Sarawak.

“Only GPS truly fight for Sarawak’s interest, unlike some newly formed political party, which exist only when the election is approaching, …. they will be hardly be seen after election,” he opined.

He asserted, that PBB and other GPS parties namely – Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) , the Progressive Democratic Party (PDP), and Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) led by GPS chairman, Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg, has been working very hard to ensure Sarawak achieves a developed state status by 2030.

“To ensure GPS a win in the State’s 12th election, we must work together as a team among party members within the coalition,” he reckoned.

He added, PBB as the backbone of the ruling GPS must defense all their seats.

Tengah pointed out, that PBB in the Northern Region has a good track record that must be maintained this coming 12th State election.

Tengah disclosed this at a dinner gathering held at Piasau Boat Club in Miri.

The gathering was in conjunction with the Northern Zone PBB convention held in Miri on October 5.

More than 100 working committee members of the PBB convention for Northern Region attended the gathering.
