KUCHING, June 13: A 22-year-old Good Samaritan who aided a car accident victim ended up injured when struck by another car at Jalan Song here, today.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) promptly responded to a distress call at 2.13am, despatching a team from the Tabuan Jaya fire station to the location.
The initial accident involved a Perodua Myvi, driven by a 36-year-old man, which skidded off the road and collided with a tree.
The victim, trapped in the driver’s seat, was successfully freed by the Bomba team.
However, a passerby who came to assist the accident victim suffered leg injuries after being hit by a Lexus car.
Following stabilisation, both injured individuals were transported by ambulances to KPJ Hospital and Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further treatment.
The driver of the Lexus car was unharmed. — DayakDaily
