KUCHING, Jan 25: The Puncak Borneo Parliamentary service centre has announced a unique initiative, offering a two-kilogramme cooking oil incentive with every Petros gas cylinder exchange during the ‘Jak Ta Tukar Tong Gas’ programme scheduled for Feb 3.
Puncak Borneo MP Datuk Willie Mongin revealed that the programme will take place at Dewan Masyarakat Siburan, running from 9am to 5pm, with a total allocation of 500 gas cylinders for the exchange.
In response to public queries about varying prices for gas cylinder exchanges in different parliamentary constituencies, Willie explained that the discrepancies are due to sponsorship from either the constituency’s representative or specific companies.
He clarified, “For example, company A is sponsoring RM6.60, and those exchanging the gas cylinder only need to pay RM20. For the Puncak Borneo Parliamentary constituency, the price of RM26.60 per gas cylinder is not sponsored by any party. Instead, the Puncak Borneo Parliamentary office has taken the initiative to facilitate the changing process.” — DayakDaily
