KUCHING, Oct 22: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) must win all 31 parliamentary seats in the coming 15th General Election (GE15) to ensure development plans for Sarawak are not disrupted, says Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.

He said it is important that GPS secures a big win to show Sarawak’s solidarity; thus, he urged Sarawakians to go all out in supporting GPS.

“GPS, as you know, have contributed to a lot of development in Sarawak in the last five years. We want that development to continue, not to be disrupted.

“So, we appeal to all Sarawakians to give us all the support the way they supported us in the last State election,” he told reporters at the Carsome Kuching inspection centre launching ceremony at Jalan Simpang Tiga here today.

Meanwhile, Uggah expressed confidence that GPS would make a clean sweep of all parliamentary seats, including the rural seats.

“We go to the war to win. And for GPS, you have heard what the Premier said. He has set the target. We will all work hard to ensure we win all the seats,” he said. — DayakDaily
