KUCHING, April 9: Staff of CCK Fresh Mart were quick to extinguish a fire that broke out early this morning at its neighbouring Alpro Pharmacy, on Jalan Kuching-Serian, Siburan.
According to a report by the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received a call about the incident at 6.36am this morning and immediately dispatched a team from the Siburan firestation.
Upon arrival, they found the fire involved a computer at the pharmacy’s counter and a ceiling air conditioning unit. The fire was extinguished by employees of a nearby shop (CCK) using a fire extinguisher.
No injuries were reported.
The Bomba team proceeded to extinguish the fire further. After ensuring that the situation was under control and there were no more sources of fire, the team headed back to the station. – DayakDaily
