KUCHING, Jan 15: Raja Yogi Mohan Singhal, a senior member of the Brahma Kumaris who has lived in Mount Abu, India, for over 25 years, captivated the audience at the “Science, Spirituality, and Meditation Forum” held at the MBKS Auditorium last night, sharing his transformative journey with meditation and spirituality.
During his address, Mohan Singhal emphasized that in meditation, individuals engage in a two-way conversation with God, receiving answers, responses, and solutions in return.
“Unfortunately, our minds are often cluttered, distracted by the constant buzz of daily life, technology, and various concerns. So even when God wishes to provide us with guidance, we may not be able to hear or accept it because we are not ‘free’—in a state of openness.
“To truly receive divine insight, we must carve out special time for ourselves—free time, away from distractions. Only then can we make space for God to send us signals or solutions,” he explained.
He further encouraged the audience to set aside just 10 to 15 minutes daily for self-reflection and meditation.
“Whatever problem there is, keep it aside for some time and clear your mind. Automatically, after some time, when you are thoughtless, the solution to your problem will pour into your mind,” he added.
Drawing from his extensive career, including over 28 years at the Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Singhal demonstrated how meditation can be a source of peace even in the most stressful work environments.
He shared that at the Brahma Kumaris headquarters in Mount Abu, practitioners rise early every morning at 3:30am, a time when the world is calm, to engage in deep meditation.
“This practice is scientific. Both science and spirituality play complementary roles in bringing peace and clarity to our lives,” he continued.
At the event, organised by the Brahma Kumaris Foundation (BKF) Kuching Branch, Mohan Singhal also led a mass meditation with the audience.
Apart from Mohan Singhal, there were two other speakers: Sri Maha Mariamman Temple president Dato Shankar Ram Asnani and TSG Group Chief Executive Officer and founder Dato Chris Chung.
The event was a thought-provoking reminder of the importance of meditation in today’s fast-paced world, offering attendees valuable insights into how they can integrate mindfulness and internal harmony into their daily routines. – DayakDaily
