KUCHING, July 23: Good food aside, the 2022 Kuching Festival will also be providing free medical checkups for B40 and M40 groups.

The festival organising chairman Cr Goh Tze Hui said B40 individuals will be able to enjoy free urine or blood tests at one of their stalls this year.

“Of course, there are also some free services for the M40, such as body fat or weight check,” he said during the ShallWeeTalk Facebook live session today.

In terms of food, he said the popular delicacies from previous years such as sausages, oyster omelette (‘o-jian’), roasted full lamb and pork, crocodile meat will continue to be served.

Other than Chinese food, he added, there will also be Korean, Japanese, Malay, Thai, and Philippine cuisines.

Meanwhile, Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng urged the general public to also take the opportunity to enjoy the medical services provided other than tasting food.

This year’s Kuching Festival, from July 29 to Aug 21, will feature 394 food stalls and 90 booths for the indoor trade fair. — DayakDaily
