Four villages in Mambong receive MRP grant totalling RM175,000

KUCHING, March 8: Assistant Minister of Transport Datuk Dr Jerip Susil hoped the grant totalling RM175,000 under the minor rural project (MRP) distributed to four villages in Mambong constituency will be used wisely.

The recipients are Kpg Emperoh Jambu, which received RM20,000, Kpg Sikog (RM10,000), Kpg Bra’ang Bidak (RM100,000) and Kpg Jawa Gunda (RM45,000).

“I hope that the allocation for the village development and security committee (JKKK) and organisations in the four villages and will be used wisely to develop the villages and the organisations,” Dr Jerip, who is also Mambong assemblyman, said when presenting the cheque during his visit to all the villages.

During the cheque presentation, Dr Jerip also handed over food parcels to the families, whose houses were affected by the recent flash flood.

The recipients of the food parcels for the flood victims are 13 families from Kpg Jawa Gunda and six families from Kpg Bra’ang Bidak.

Dr Jerip also presented food to 105 families from Kpg Emperoh Jambu, which is under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).

To recipients of the MRP grant, Dr Jerip hoped that the allocation be used widely. — DayakDaily
