KUCHING, Dec 14: A Malaysian and his three Indonesian fishing crew were rescued after their vessel overturned near the Batang Paloh bridge project in Tanjung Manis.
According to a report from Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, they received a call from Bomba Tanjung Manis control centre informing about the incident at 11.37am and had deployed their firefighters to the scene.
Based on the chronology of events, the incident occurred about 11am when the fishing vessel tilted after getting caught up in strong currents.
All crew members were rescued by firefighters who were in the area on a boat.
They were later brought to safety at the Batang Paloh bridge project construction site. — DayakDaily
