KUCHING, March 30: Today, a sea of motorcycles with pink and green delivery bags were seen, not parked in front of a restaurant as one would expect, but at the Semariang Muslim Cemetery.

In one last tribute to their 20-year-old colleague Yuhanis Abdullah who passed in a accident yesterday (March 29), around noon, about 30 to 40 Foodpanda and Grab delivery riders waited at Masjid Darul Ibadah on their motorbikes to accompany the deceased on his last journey to the cemetery where he was later buried.

At the cemetery, there were yet more riders who were waiting, according to a Facebook livestream by Sarawak Edition.

Yesterday, at about 11.35am, the deceased was involved in a self-accident at Jalan Semariang, Petra Jaya where it was believed that he had lost control of his motorcycle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene before his body was sent to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) Forensics Unit for post-mortem. — DayakDaily
