KUCHING, July 13: Miri City Council (MCC) Mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang has reminded food operators under the jurisdiction of MCC to possess valid operating licenses approved by the council.
“For those operators who have not obtained valid licenses from the council (MCC), please take necessary action to obtain such relevant licenses and comply with the council’s requirement,” he said in a media release today.
He also urged local food handlers to wear face masks while serving food at their food outlets.
Yii instructed food operators in Miri to wear proper and clean attires while practicing good hygiene.
He added that hot water must be provided to sanitise utensils and cleanliness of the premises must be maintained complying with MCC’s jurisdiction. —DayakDaily
