KUCHING, April 12: A total of 844 households in seven villages in the Kota Sentosa constituency received food aid from the state government.
The food aid aims to providing assistance for the hardcore poor especially the B40 income group in light of the difficulties faced by villages resulting from the Movement Control Order (MCO).
According to Penghulu Jakup Buan, the food aid was delivered to Kpg Stampin Baru, Kpg Lubuk Buan, Kpg Sg Tapang, Kpg Temedek, Kpg Stampin, Kpg Stutong and Taman BDC / Satria. Jaya.
Jakup added there are 124 households in Kpg Stampin Baru which received the food aid while households in other villages are Kpg Lubuk Buan (74), Kpg Sg Tapang (245), Kpg Temedek (48), Kpg Stampin (155), Kpg Stutong (125) and Taman BDC / Satria. Jaya (73) have also received the assistance via the Kuching Resident’s Office.
He disclosed the food aid has been sent to all the villages in batches over the past few days.
He expressed his gratitude to the Sarawak government for providing the food aid to the seven villages under his supervision in the Kota Sentosa constituency. — DayakDaily
