Flood strikes 2 schools in Bakam after heavy rain

MIRI, Nov 23: Two schools in Bakam were affected by flooding after heavy rain since last night (Wednesday), with water levels reaching about one-foot high.

However, both schools remained operating as usual, this morning.

A Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) team was mobilised to SMK Agama Miri and SJK Tukau Miri for flood monitoring this morning at 7.52am, after informed on the situation.

Based on their report, several roads leading to the schools were inundated by flood, but were still passable by vehicles. — DayakDaily
