MIRI, Oct 18: Kampung Long Bemang in Hulu Baram has remained under 1.3 feet of floodwater for the past three days, with electricity cut off in the affected areas.
According to a report by the Long Bemang Volunteer Fire Department (PBS), as of 7.20am today, the village continues to experience cloudy weather, and the water level is on a rising trend.
The flood has impacted over 560 residents from 103 households.
Despite the ongoing flooding, a temporary evacuation centre has not been activated, as no evacuations have been conducted.
Affected residents have relocated to the upper floors of their homes. — DayakDaily
