Five injured, two unharmed in two-vehicle crash along Bekenu coastal road in Miri

KUCHING, April 24: Five individuals were injured while two others were unharmed in a two-vehicle accident along the Bekenu coastal road in Miri.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak operation centre in a statement today said they received an alert via Malaysian Emergency Response System (MERS) 999 about the accident at 12.31am today and deployed firefighters from Bomba Batu Niah.

According to the report, all of the victim were extricated by members of the public from the vehicles.


Firefighters then conducted a ‘size up’ operation and helped to transfer the victims to a Ministry of Health (MOH) ambulance waiting nearby which sent the victims to Bekenu Health Clinic. — DayakDaily
