Fishing enthusiast robbed at his favourite spot

MIRI, Match 15: A 30-something man who went out fishing at Kampung Pulau Melayu was robbed by two strangers at his favourite fishing spot on Wednesday.

Fortunately, he was unharmed in the 11.30pm episode as he gave in to the demands of the robbers, one of them armed with a wooden stick.


According to sources, prior to the incident, the victim went to his favourite fishing spot. Moments later, two motorcyclists in full-face helmets pulled over. The one armed with a wooden stick immediately accosted the victim and demanded he hands over all his valuables.

Fearing for his safety, the victim obliged and was relieved of RM50 cash and a gold necklace. Total lost is estimated at RM5,000.
