First vaccination “outreach” programme in Mukah commenced on June 25

KUCHING, June 26: The first vaccination “outreach” programme conducted in Mukah has started on Friday (June 25) at Rh Simu in Ulu Baoh, Dalat.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Mukah Resident Hamdiah Bakir said a total of 37 residents of Rh Simu have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Hamdiah, who is also Mukah Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) chairman, noted on the first day of the vaccination programme, they managed to inoculate 15 longhouse residents in the area.


“This is the first outreach programme organised in Mukah, among other outreach programmes that will be held, either in the health clinic or on the ground.

“A total of 200 doses of vaccines have been allocated for the first day, and another 287 doses for the second day, which bring the total doses allocated for this area to 487 doses,” she said after visiting Rh Simu to witness the outreach programme yesterday.

The programme is organised by Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) Dalat district, and based on the latest statistics, some 40,430 individuals in Mukah have received their first dose of the vaccination while 8,993 others have completed their second dose. — DayakDaily
