KUCHING, July 30: The first phase of the Limbang Waterfront project is to be completed by August 31.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Deputy Minister for Food Industry, Commodity, and Regional Development Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail said the project was previously delayed due to several issues, including Covid-19.
“However, the contractor has assured that the first phase will be completed within that period,” he said when met by reporters during a visit to the Limbang Waterfront Project construction site on Saturday (July 29).
He said the whole project, divided into three phases, is expected to be completed between mid to end of 2025.
He also said that when completed, it will be the longest waterfront in Sarawak, spanning 1.8 kilometres. — DayakDaily
