Firefighters rescue motorcyclist pinned under car after collision

Firefighters working to rescue the motorcyclist who was pinned after a collision with a sedan vehicle.

KOTA SAMARAHAN, Dec 2: A 29-year-old motorcyclist was pinned underneath a car after a collision at Jalan Samarex 7, in Kota Samarahan, today.

According to the state Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre in a statement, the incident occurred at 1.08pm and involved a motorcycle and a sedan vehicle.

“Firefighters utilised an Air Lifting Bag in order to pull the male victim, who is the motorcyclist, from underneath the sedan vehicle.


“Initial treatment was given by Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) on the scene assisted by Health Department personnel.”

The victim was later was brought to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further treatment, while the sedan driver was unharmed. — DayakDaily
