KUCHING, Sept 22: A fire has been reported to be taking place in Kampung Hilir in Sibu.
According to a report from Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre, they received call regarding the incident at 6.43pm and deployed a Bomba Sibu Sentral team assisted by Bomba Sungai Merah and Bomba Sibu Jaya to the scene.

Based on an initial report from the operation commander at the location, about eight to nine houses were affected in the incident.
As of press time, extinguishing operations are being carries out by firefighters. — DayakDaily
