BELAGA, June 10: A fire completely razed a 19-door workers’ quarters belonging to a company in Arau Estate, Murum, earlier this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in Belaga received the emergency call at 10am and took approximately three hours to reach the site via farm roads.
Upon arrival, the operation commander confirmed that the structure had been entirely destroyed by the blaze.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported. However, the fire displaced five families comprising 23 individuals, leaving them homeless. — DayakDaily
