BAU, Sept 27: A moving car caught fire along the Bau section of the Pan Borneo Highway last night (Sept 26), but fortunately, the two passengers inside it managed to escape without injury.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Bau responded to the emergency at 9.34pm.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames on the roadside and immediately took action to extinguish the fire.
The blaze, which had destroyed the car, was brought under control by 10.09pm.
Bomba confirmed that the 48-year-old driver and a 35-year-old passenger were unharmed from the incident.
The operation concluded at 10.20pm after firefighters ensured the site was safe and free from any remaining sources of ignition. — DayakDaily
