KUCHING, May 15: A semi-permanent house at Lorong 11, Kampung Bintawa Ulu, was destroyed in a fire this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Petra Jaya, assisted by personnel from the Padungan station, responded to the emergency at around 8am.

The intense heat from the blaze caused minor damage—estimated at five per cent—to two nearby houses.
However, firefighters managed to bring the fire under control and successfully prevented it from spreading further.
No injuries or casualties were reported.
After extinguishing the flames, firefighters carried out overhauling operations to eliminate any remaining sources of ignition and to ensure the safety of the site.
