Fire damaged lorry at shop in Sibu

KUCHING, March 14: A 10 tonne lorry was destroyed in a fire at a shop at Upper Lanang Road, Sibu, today.

The incident happened around 12.30pm, said the Fire and Rescue Department in a statement.

The department said workers used five extinguishers and a water jet to put out the fire but to no avail.

Firefighters managed to control the fire from spreading to other areas. — DayakDaily
