KUCHING, July 11: A fire broke out on the sixth floor of a hotel in Kuching this afternoon.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak reported that its operation centre received a distress call at 11.53am today and swiftly dispatched a team from Batu Lintang station to the scene.
Fortunately, all hotel staff and guests were able to evacuate safely and gathered outside the building before the firefighters arrived.
The team acted swiftly and effectively extinguished the fire and prevented its spread.
No injuries were reported.
Currently, the authorities are investigating the source of the fire. — DayakDaily
