MUKAH, Sept 10: Ferry services in Batang Paloh, Muara Lassa and Kuala Igan in Mukah division have been extended from Sept 12 to 15 in conjunction with the Pulau Bruit Festival 2024.
In a notice issued today, the Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak announced that each ferry at Batang Paloh, Muara Lassa and Kuala Igan terminals, will be in operation from 6am until 1am.
The second ferry at Batang Paloh and Muara Lassa terminals, will run from 6am until 12am.
Meanwhile, the second ferry at Kuala Igan terminal, will run from 4am until 12am.
In a separate notice, the JKR Sarawak also announced that the extension of ferry services will also be implemented at Kuala Igan and Muara Lassa terminals on Sept 17 in conjunction with the Sarawak-level Islamic Affairs Premier Forum 2024.
The first ferry at Kuala Igan terminal will operate from 4am to 12am while the one at Muara Lassa terminal will run from 6am to 8pm.
The second ferry at both terminals, respectively, will run from 6am to 1am.
JKR Sarawak further advises ferry passengers to plan their journey ahead and to follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) when boarding the ferry.
