BINTANGOR, July 13: A woman was killed when her motorcycle collided with a car here last night.
According to Meradong OCPD, Deputy Supt Sekam Anoi, during the 8.45pm incident, the victim, 27, from Jalan Drahman Keria, Sarikei was hit by a car as the driver was trying to overtake another vehicle along Jalan Selidap.
The victim was travelling from Bintangor to Sarikei at the time.
The car, which was travelling in the opposite direction, hit the victim’s motorcycle as it entered the adjacent lane.
The body of the victim was taken to Sarikei Hospital for further action.
The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
