KUCHING, March 11 : A delegation from Sarawak Federation of Chinese Schools for Kuching and Kota Samarahan paid a courtesy call on Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri James Masing at his office here today.
The federation in a statement revealed that they are planning to relocate a Chinese school from Kampung Bako to Kota Samarahan due to insufficient numbers of students at the school or “Sekolah Kurang Murid (SKM)”.
They said that Kota Samarahan would be a much better location as there are more students there.
It was also revealed that an increasing number of Bumiputera students are enrolling in Chinese medium schools now. — DayakDaily
