Fed Court’s decision over ex-PM’s case will make other leaders think 10 times before committing crimes, says Minos

KUCHING, Sept 4: The decision by Chief Justice of Malaysia Tun Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat and four other Federal Court Judges presiding over former prime minister Dato Sri Najib Razak’s recent court case to uphold an earlier ruling to jail the latter for 12 years and impose a RM210 million fine will make other leaders think 10 times before misappropriating public funds.

Political pundit and Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) veteran Dato Peter Minos stated this when commenting on the Federal Court’s decision on Aug 23.

“For Malaysia, it is a new chapter. After this, those in high places and who run the nation as leaders and administrators will think 10 times before robbing and stealing public funds. I think and trust that this will make for a cleaner and better ruling elite.

“The above will in turn usher in a better and more effective and efficient government and administration at all levels.

“Without doubt, there will be more honesty and integrity around and these will see smoother and better economic development, politics and other public endeavours,” he said in a statement today. – DayakDaily
