FCAS to deliver PPE to virus-hit communities in Sibu and Miri

KUCHING, Jan 20: The Federation of Chinese Associations Sarawak (FCAS) will be sending personal protective equipment (PPE) to its affiliated member associations in Sibu and Miri divisions in an effort to help and support the communities affected by the surge in Covid-19.

Contributed by the Federation of Chinese Associations of Kuching, Samarahan and Serian Division, the new batches of PPE consisted of 100 boxes of medical masks, 72 pieces of medical protective suits, 300 pieces of shoe covers and caps as well as 400 pieces of face shields.

In the simple handing over ceremony today, Federation of Chinese Associations Sarawak vice president Wong Tiong Hook received the PPE on behalf of president Dato Richard Wee.

Wee, who is the president of both Federations, emphasised that the Federations were committed to fighting the pandemic by providing moral and material support to the medical frontliners and essential aid to the affected communities.

He also expressed confidence that Sarawak can flatten the curve of Covid-19. -DayakDaily
