FCA scheduled to hold Chinese New Year gathering dinner for various communities

MIRI, Feb 11: The Federation of Miri Division Chinese Associations (FCA) will hold a Chinese New Year gathering dinner on Feb 19 (Saturday) at Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club’s Musical Corridor.

The event is scheduled to start at 6.30pm.


FCA president Datuk David Goh in a statement said that the gathering would be an opportunity for representatives of various organisations and community leaders to come together and celebrate the Lunar New Year.

It was also revealed that amongst the guests scheduled to attend the gathering are Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, former deputy chief minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan, Tan Sri Yaw Teck Seng and former Miri MP Tan Sri Dato Peter Chin.

The gathering will be see people and representatives from Sarawak’s various communities and religious backgrounds, gathering at one place.

In the past two years since the Covid-19 pandemic first hit in 2020, public events such as this have been forced to be postponed or cancelled.

The gathering is jointly organise by the FCA main committee, alongside FCA Youth and Women Section. — DayakDaily
