MIRI, June 19: A man was found dead, face down in the toilet of his home in Desa Murni, Permyjaya this morning (June 19).
According to Miri deputy police chief Supt Sabri Zainol, the body of Jabilin Radew, 46, was discovered by his father, who went to the house around 10.30am, after the deceased did not pick up his calls.
“The deceased’s father had called his cellphone numerous times this morning, but the calls were left unanswered, prompting the father to go to the house as he wanted to deliver some food to the deceased,” said Sabri.
He added, that the deceased was alone when the incident occurred.
“Upon discovering his son’s body inside the toilet, he immediately alerted the Miri Hospital and police for assistance,” he said.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased had a medical history of hypertension and heart disease.
Police have ruled out foul play. Sabri said the case has been classified as sudden death.
The deceased was taken to Miri Hospital morgue for a post mortem. — DayakDaily
