LUNDU, June 4: Two people were killed in a fatal collision between a car and two motorcycles at the junction of Jalan Biawak, Jalan Lundu-Sematan here.
According to a statement from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received notification of the accident at 1am, prompting the dispatch of firefighters from the Lundu fire station to the location.
“Upon arriving at the scene, it was discovered that there had been an accident involving a Proton Gen2 car and two motorcycles.
“Two victims who were the motorcyclists were confirmed by the Ministry of Health to have died at the scene of the incident while the driver of the Proton Gen2 car was uninjured.
“The firefighters then handed over the two victims who died to the police for further action,” the statement read.
Firefighters then carried out cleaning the road to clear the road of debris from the accident.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the firefighters returned to the station. — DayakDaily
